Sharing Our Use of QR Codes for Janitorial Staff Health Records

Over the past two years during the pandemic, our property management unit has faced significantly increased workloads. It was already challenging to recruit and manage staff, and now we also worry about potential oversights in epidemic prevention measures.

Although we prefer to hire younger janitorial staff, due to personnel shortages, most of our current employees are retirees. Before starting their shifts each day, we measure the blood pressure of our janitorial staff, especially during hot weather.

During the pandemic, janitorial work has become even riskier. With large quantities of discarded masks in residents' trash, as property managers, we're deeply concerned about inadequate management. If something goes wrong, not only would our project operations be disrupted, but residents would certainly question our service quality and management standards.

We previously used paper forms in each building hallway where supervisors would record cleaners' body temperatures daily. However, some meticulous residents complained this was just procedural and demanded we implement more thorough processes.

Two years ago, we started using CaoLiao QR codes at entrance gates for visitor registration. After implementation, we eliminated pen-and-paper registration entirely. The data no longer requires manual organization - we can simply export it from our project backend for queries and archiving.

As we became more familiar with the functionality, we discovered CaoLiao also supports bulk QR code generation, which proved perfect for recording employee health information. We decided to give it a try.

Now each cleaner has their own QR code that displays their nucleic acid test reports and daily temperature records. We print these codes and post them on display boards. Temperature records can include photos - while supervisors previously used watermark cameras, now photos within the QR codes can also include watermarks, making management more standardized. All historical records are traceable, and if unfortunate incidents occur, we can export the data for investigation. Having implemented these thorough measures, residents feel more assured, and we can maintain clear consciences.
