"Leaders, please scan our QR codes," enthusiastically recommended Bai Xuefeng, the operational manager of the No. 3 Pumping Station at Hongsibao Water Pumping Management Department, to visiting leaders during inspections. "After scanning, you can view all the technical parameters of each equipment at a glance."

Following the renovation and upgrade of the No. 1 to No. 5 Pumping Stations at Hongsibao, the station-level automation has reached a new level. Real-time operational data for equipment such as motors, water pumps, and butterfly valves—including water levels, flow rates, loads, temperatures, and vibrations—are now uploaded and displayed automatically. Operational records are generated and stored by computers. Building on this foundation, the management department has actively explored the establishment of an electronic equipment database across the No. 1 to No. 5 Pumping Stations, implementing "QR code" management. Information such as equipment performance parameters, operational conditions, maintenance records, and inspection alerts are all embedded into the "QR codes," creating a new electronic platform for data that is traceable, real-time updatable, openly shared, convenient, and efficient.

QR codes serve as the "ID cards" for electromechanical equipment. When discussing QR codes, the staff at the Hongsibao Water Pumping Management Department are visibly excited. "With a simple scan using a mobile phone, there’s no need to search through any logbooks. You can instantly learn about the equipment’s history and maintenance records, significantly improving work efficiency." These small QR codes "capture" all the information for each piece of equipment in the pumping station, playing a crucial role in advancing the automation of information management and the standardization and规范化 construction of the pumping stations.
