Equipment and Facility Inspection QR Codes, Improving Quality and Efficiency

Original: https://cli.im/article/detail/1978

I am primarily responsible for property maintenance, and our routine tasks involve the inspection, upkeep, and repair of various equipment and facilities. However, we encountered several issues in our work:

  1. The authenticity of inspection data could not be monitored.
  2. A large number of paper forms were required each month, leading to increased costs.
  3. At the end of each month, various forms needed to be collected and manually sorted and bound.
  4. Some equipment malfunctions could not be detected promptly and were only discovered during the monthly review.
  5. There was insufficient storage space for archived documents.

After facing so many challenges, I began searching online for a digital solution suitable for our company. By chance, I came across CaoLiao. After learning about its features, I was excited and started experimenting with creating QR codes. The first version I developed met all my requirements during the trial. It addressed data authenticity, reduced personnel and material costs, and, most importantly, improved labor efficiency. Since inspection requirements vary across companies, CaoLiao's customizable templates are an excellent feature, allowing users to tailor designs to their specific needs. It also encourages innovation and enhances work efficiency.

We have now placed QR codes on all key equipment rooms, using online forms for check-ins, inspections, and maintenance. Equipment room information QR codes are posted on doors, providing visitors with details about our equipment. These information cards include a visitor registration feature, facilitating management and statistics for external personnel. Each piece of equipment has a repair form QR code, making it easy to track maintenance records. Inspection and maintenance QR codes are attached directly to equipment and facilities, requiring photo uploads for data verification, which helps monitor data authenticity.

Currently, all equipment and facility inspections, maintenance, and repairs at our project site are managed through QR code forms. Inspection check-ins with photo uploads allow me to monitor the operational status of equipment and facilities daily. I can promptly assess maintenance effectiveness and timing. When equipment malfunctions occur, I export and filter the data to schedule repairs systematically. Monthly export of repair records helps track maintenance costs, significantly aiding on-site management. Our project is currently in the trial phase, and we hope CaoLiao continues to innovate. We look forward to a long-term partnership.
