QR Code Application for Umbrella Borrowing and Returning at Jiaoyun Wenxin Bus

Since 2010, Jiaoyun Wenxin Bus has provided complimentary "Love Umbrellas" on Route 31 buses as a public service. To date, this service has expanded to over 1,000 buses across dozens of routes, benefiting tens of thousands of passengers over the past decade. On August 13, the company launched an innovative QR code-based umbrella borrowing and returning system on Routes 31 and 468 to facilitate self-service operations.

On the morning of August 13, staff began deploying dual QR codes in buses:

1. Green QR Code: Scanned to access the WeChat Mini Program borrowing system. The "Borrowing Record" automatically captures borrower's name and contact information.
2. Black QR Code: Scanned to register vehicle identification number during borrowing.
   For returns:

• Scan the QR code to access "Return Record" and input vehicle number
• For proxy returns: Input original borrower's phone number in remarks field

"During Qingdao's annual rainy season, our Love Umbrellas become essential for passengers. The new QR code system enables efficient management of borrowing and returning processes," said Luo Chunnian, Route 31 supervisor.

The company clarifies return options:

1. Return to any Wenxin Bus vehicle
2. Return to designated service stations
3. For non-Route 31/468 returns:
   • Photograph the QR code for return registration
   • Maintain the chain of shared public convenience
