While pandemic prevention efforts in Qingdao progressed in an orderly manner, the "Anti-pandemic Stories on Buses" campaign was launched on Tunnel Route 8 buses operated by Warm Bus Company, inviting passengers to share recent pandemic-related stories from bus journeys – whether heartwarming, touching, or inspiring.
On the 21st, passengers boarding Tunnel Route 8 buses noticed a prominent QR code displayed near the driver's cabin. By scanning this code, they could share their own pandemic prevention stories experienced during bus rides or read others' shared experiences.
Among numerous messages, one from driver Zhao Hongli stood out: "Reading these stories warms my heart, so I want to share my own experience." Zhao recalled a regular passenger – an elderly woman who repeatedly left masks at Dawan Port Road Station without boarding. This gesture originated from Zhao previously returning her lost handbag containing cash and valuables. Other touching comments included: "Both the auntie and driver are so kind", "This story melts my heart", and "True proof that kindness begets kindness".
The QR code campaign attracted widespread participation. Passengers scanned to read stories, leave supportive comments, or share personal experiences. Through this initiative, passengers witnessed numerous pandemic prevention stories unfolding on buses, feeling the collective determination of drivers and passengers to overcome challenges together.
