- Reference Standards: GB50444-2008 "Code for Acceptance and Inspection of Building Fire Extinguisher Configuration", GB55036-2022 "General Code for Fire Protection Facilities", GA95-2015 "Maintenance of Fire Extinguishers"
II. Inspection Frequency
According to GB50444-2008 "Code for Acceptance and Inspection of Building Fire Extinguisher Configuration", the recommended fire extinguisher inspection frequency is:

According to GB4351-2023 "Portable Fire Extinguishers" clause 5.5.1.2: For CO₂ fire extinguishers, the annual leakage rate must not exceed 5% of its rated refill weight.
III. Fire Extinguisher Maintenance & Repair
According to GB55036-2022 "General Code for Fire Protection Facilities", users of fire extinguishers must perform regular inspections on in-service extinguishers as stipulated in GB50444-2008. Extinguishers found to require repair should be promptly sent to the manufacturer's service department or an authorized repair facility.
Note 2: Per GB55036-2022, clause 5.3.2 of GB50444-2008 regarding mandatory periodic repair intervals has been abolished. Fire extinguishers no longer require annual inspection and only need to be scrapped according to the requirements.
