Planning an EHS Information System and Implementation with QR Codes

I am Zhou Jianming, head of the EHS Supervision and Management Department at Shenzhen CR Sanjiu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. With over a decade of experience in safety management and as a nationally registered intermediate safety engineer, I have been invited by CaoLiao to share insights on establishing an EHS information management system with fellow professionals.
Creating an EHS information management system aims to address the challenges and pain points in corporate EHS management. It resolves issues such as inadequate management capabilities, ineffective oversight, and a lack of specialized expertise by developing a structured EHS information system.
The approach involves breaking down each element of the management system into actionable QR codes. Within the system (via QR codes), we integrate regulatory requirements, professional techniques, operational methods, and other specialized knowledge. Frontline employees can then use these QR codes to access learning materials, complete tasks, and fulfill their EHS responsibilities. By analyzing the big data generated from the EHS information system, we can evaluate the company's EHS management status and assess risk levels. This enables the implementation of the national safety principle: "Safety First, Prevention Foremost, Comprehensive Management."
