Small QR Codes Innovate New Ways to Access Toll Policy Documents

The Toll Management Department of Jingdezhen Management Center, in collaboration with Jingdezhen North Toll Station, has optimized document management by utilizing QR code technology. Toll frontline staff can now scan designated QR codes with their work phones to quickly locate relevant regulatory documents, effectively improving work efficiency.

It is reported that, addressing the challenges of time-consuming access and difficulty in preservation associated with paper documents, the center's Toll Management Department innovatively adopted a QR code data platform. Toll-related regulatory documents were collected and stored under two main categories—toll policies and toll management—each represented by QR codes of different colors to achieve orderly and standardized management. The green toll policy QR code includes publicly available documents across 14 categories such as vehicle classification, toll standards, overloading and over-limits, and green channel policies. The red toll management QR code contains internal management documents from five categories: the Ministry of Transport, provincial departments and provincial networking centers, the group company, the road network, and the Jingdezhen Center. Staff can scan the differently colored QR codes for categorized access. When drivers have disputes regarding toll policies, they can also scan the green toll policy QR code for reference, effectively resolving controversies in toll operations.

Building on the use of the QR code data platform, Jingdezhen North Toll Station adopted a model of sharing files to the WeCom platform. By searching for keywords, staff can quickly, efficiently, and accurately retrieve documents in real time, significantly enhancing toll work efficiency.
