QR Codes "Grow" on Power Supply Company Equipment

Recently, QR codes were discovered on equipment managed by the Dengfeng Inspection and Operation Team of the Power Supply Company's Substation Operation Department. Scanning them with a phone reveals not payment codes or official accounts, but rather methods for main transformer tap changing, arc suppression coil operations, precautions for plate operations, and more.

In recent years, equipment updates at the controlled stations under the Dengfeng Inspection and Operation Team have accelerated, achieving integrated operation and control. However, some employees occasionally missed steps or even confused sequences during operations. To ensure precise operations, Team Leader Zhao Xin decided to encode equipment operation steps and precautions into QR codes, making it easier for staff to perform their duties.

Action was taken immediately. Zhao Xin led a team to review, calibrate, and organize the "Operation Procedures," while Wang Xin, the shift leader of the fourth operation team, researched QR code generators. Faced with a wide variety of QR code generator software online, they conducted multiple tests and selected one capable of uploading Word documents.

They first compiled key content and images from the "Operation Procedures" using Word software, then uploaded the edited Word document to the QR code generator. After generating the QR codes and labeling them clearly, they laminated the codes for preservation and affixed them to the equipment. Operators can now scan the codes to view operation sequences and methods directly on their phone screens, making it easy to understand and significantly accelerating their familiarity with new equipment, thereby enhancing operational safety.
