To further enhance the efficiency of collecting public opinions and increase participation in grassroots consultation and deliberation, Yihuqiao Town has integrated CaoLiao QR codes into its grassroots governance practices. Through the QR code for soliciting topics for the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) consultation and deliberation, villagers are guided to scan the code to raise issues, participate in consultations, and provide feedback, achieving "handling public affairs promptly via QR codes." By leveraging WeChat groups and WeChat video calls, the town has bridged the last mile for conveying public opinions and resolving issues, significantly improving consultation efficiency and public satisfaction. This article shares the town's application practices and is republished for reference.

"Uncle, please look. By scanning Yihuqiao Town's CPPCC consultation and deliberation topic collection QR code with your WeChat, you can fill in the issues you want to report here and even remotely participate in our consultation and deliberation activities." A volunteer from Wujiashan Village is meticulously explaining to a villager how to use the consultation and deliberation QR code to propose topics and offer suggestions.

"Now, lying in bed, I can directly report problems to the town via my phone, and I receive responses and handling updates promptly. I reported the cracking and collapse of the riverbank near my doorstep, and the town staff quickly replied. Surprisingly, within two days, the village sent excavators and a construction team for repairs. It's truly convenient," said Li Rangxi, a villager from Erpai Village, Sanpai Village.

Since the beginning of this year, to further improve the efficiency and quality of collecting public opinions and conducting CPPCC consultations, Yihuqiao Town has fully utilized internet platforms such as CaoLiao QR codes, WeChat groups, and WeChat video calls. These tools enable the online collection of public opinions and the organization of "cloud" meetings for consultation and deliberation. By innovatively applying the "Internet+" approach and implementing measures like "prompt entry into villages and communities via QR codes" and "prompt entry into households via QR codes," the town has brought the platforms for public opinions and CPPCC consultations right to the doorsteps of grassroots communities. This has made communication with the public more convenient, channels for voicing demands smoother, and enthusiasm for participating in social governance higher. It has effectively increased public awareness and participation in "prompt deliberation via QR codes," genuinely achieving the prompt handling of public affairs. This fully unleashes the potential and efficacy of "good商量 through the 'Internet+'," making grassroots consultations more vibrant, accessible, practical, and efficient, explained Guo Junjie, Deputy Party Secretary of Yihuqiao Town.
