How to Verify Gift QR Codes

Original: https://cli.im/article/detail/2148

For items such as pre-distributed gift vouchers, discount cards, and e-tickets, the issuing company needs to scan the QR code to view the voucher content and then perform verification. This can be achieved by changing the status to verify pre-distributed gift vouchers.

If you need to make a reservation in advance to obtain a voucher and then verify it on-site, you can use the verification function. Learn more

1. Verification Process

Taking a supermarket gift voucher for the Dragon Boat Festival as an example:

  • The super administrator can generate a batch of gift vouchers using the bulk templates feature.
  • Choose a suitable gift voucher label design for printing, stamp it with the supermarket's seal, and distribute it to customers.
  • Customers present the gift voucher at the designated location within the activity period to receive their gift.
  • The verifier can scan the gift voucher to check its usage status and see if it has been used.
  • If it has not been used, the verifier can change the status to "used." After confirming the verification, the customer can take the gift.
  • The super administrator can specify that only internal personnel are allowed to change the status for verification, preventing others from altering it and avoiding duplicate redemptions.

2. How to Set Up

1. Generate Gift Vouchers Using Bulk Templates

The super administrator can create a bulk template and upload basic gift voucher information. The gift voucher number can be set as variable content. After entering the number content in the online spreadsheet, a batch of gift voucher QR codes can be generated.

2. Associate Usage Status

On the bulk template editing page, add a status to indicate the usage of the gift voucher, such as: Gift Voucher Status: Pending, Used. The default status is "Pending."

In the status list, you can view the number of gift vouchers in different statuses based on the status name.

4. Specify Identity Groups for Operations

To prevent customers from changing the status themselves and redeeming gifts multiple times, you can specify that only internal personnel are allowed to perform status change operations.

Select the specified identity group or department, and choose the identity group permitted to change the status in the member group selection pop-up.

After setting this up, you can check the option to hide the operation item for non-specified group members to avoid accidental clicks and poor user experience.
